A lazy weekend

Friday night we hit up Vernon Hills Days and ran into some work friends. Soul Asylum was playing...kept waiting for "Runaway Train"...thought I heard it 5 times...turns out all of their songs sound the same. We finally heard it and went home.

I spent Saturday with Karen and Sandi at the pool. It was 100 degrees and 3 hours at the pool made me very tired so I didn't do much on Saturday night.

Sunday, I spent the day at the pool with my sister and watched the Nascar race. Nothing too exciting.

I took Monday off to take Rocky to the vet. He was bit by a spider (or some sort of bug) ...it's infected and nasty. Lots of meds for the dog. Lucky!

Hoping my week turns out more exciting than my weekend.

Another weekend come and gone...

On Friday night, Owen, Valerie, Eddy and I went to see Pirates Of The Caribbean Part Deux. The theater was packed, but we were able to get 4 seats together and watched with wide-eyes. I thought the movie was fantastic. Johnny Depp was an amazing Captain Jack and the plot line with Davey Jones was great. The last scene of the movie was great...Definitely made me ready to see the 3rd movie!

Saturday night Valerie and I went out to see Whiskey Sin play in Cary. They put on a great show and found their new #1 fan--"Overall Man". This guy was wasted out of his mind...but he was definitely have a great time. I sat down and enjoyed some drinks during the first set and played darts with Tony's bro Ken during the 2nd set. I am proud to say that the time spent at work playing darts finally paid off. I won all 3 games of Cricket beating a very disappointed Ken who really hated being beat by a girl. Especially during game 3 when I hit 3 bulls-eyes in one turn. He was a good sport though...he bought shots of Jagermeister, which pretty much ended my evening...but overall it was a great night!

Summerfest turns Brokeback

So last Friday was a trip to Summerfest in Milwaukee for a work outing. Unfortunately, I could not attend, but it turns out that all of my friends turned "super fabulous" once the drinking commenced. I love you Chadley and Herb...sorry I missed the festivities!
